Personal family experience

My wife and I took a walking tour of Bergen with Don Sebastian as our tour guide. Don provided entertaining and informative guidance of the city. During our walk, I mentioned that my grandfather was raised in Bergen before emigrating to the U.S. in the early 1920’s. I enjoyed walking through the city of my ancestors although I didn’t have details of where my grandfather lived.

Don kindly offered to provide some research assistance and, with some details provided by my family, he was able to track down my grandfather’s place of birth, which was great because my cousin would be visiting Bergen a few months later.

Great idea! Fun for the kids!
